Last Monday began what hopefully will become a Monday night tradition here in Cookeville: "Teacher on the Radio. " It's good to be back on school airwaves after a 20-year hiatus.
"Music for Thinking People," my first program in Spring semester 1985, aired on WSHJ, 88.3 FM in Southfield, Michigan. We were the "Brave New Radio" of Southfield High. For my senior year, the program changed its name to "United Underground." At Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio the program "The Electric Cornfield" lived a short life from 2am to 4am some weekday morning on WYSO.
